Only released in Japan as part of the excellent “Alive The Live” series (disc manufactured in Taiwan by King Records), here we have CINDERELLA‘s “Japan Night Songs Tour 1987“, featured in exclusive at anywhere.
An explosive mix of hard rock, blues and front man Tom Keifer’s raspy voice, Cinderella 1986’s debut album ‘Night Songs’ was a hit, earning them a 3x platinum disc. The band toured with Poison, Loudness and David Lee Roth with great success.
The following year, in 1987, the band toured North America, Japan, and Europe for a total of 141 shows on the “Night Songs Tour”. This concert, held at Shibuya Kokaido Hall in Tokyo on August 13, was recorded for television broadcast and video production, later aired on MTV for promotional purposes.
“Japan Night Songs Tour 1987” is based on the material from this broadcast, and includes the complete set list of the day’s performance, including the encore, a cover of Rolling Stones’ “Jumpin’ Jack Flash”.
Here, Cinderella performs the entire ‘Night Songs’ album! Also, they included into the set list the song ‘Talk Is Cheap’, that wouldn’t be officially recorded until 1994 on their excellent LP ‘Still Climbing’.
A piece of history… that rocks!
