orming all instruments, with Jon providing the lead vocals.The project evolved to be named RIO with the duo securing a record deal and releasing a single. The company liked their mix of radio-friendly melodies and stylized AOR feel, and a full length was recorded and released 1985.
Titled “Borderland”, the album was released in Europe and America, and instantly become a favorite for Melodic Rock / AOR aficionados. Another album was issued next year, however the recording contract ended after that.
But Rodford and Jon Neill continued composing and recording demos with the project re-branded BIG TALK (not to be confused with a Swedish band). While it was a short-lived venture and no music was officially released, BIG TALK recorded some

Born in England but developing her career in the U.S., female rock singer LORI CHACKO made her first important recording as front-woman for the UK band Amazon, releasing a single in 1981. With her own band and established in New York, she rocked venues such as The Ritz, China Club, etc.

As requested, here’s a rarity, and a very good one: American hard rockers RAGS and their sole album, 1988’s “Tear ‘Em Up“. Rags featured terrific guitarist Tracy G, later in DIO during the Nineties, but also WWIII, Swift Kick, Blue Dahlia (with Paul Shortino) and many others.
