MORAX from Bergen in Norway is the brainchild of Remi A. Nygård, an experienced musician who is handling all the instruments himself and writes all the songs. He has been playing in various bands and projects for quite some time, all metal related.
MORAX will release his new album entitled ”Rites And Curses” next February 21st, and this CD version includes 5 extra / bonus tracks. Musically Remi shows influences by everything from 70s hard rock to 80s / 90s metal, being acts like Mercyful Fate / King Diamond, early Judas Priest and Black Sabbath (mostly Dio-era) his main inspirations.
It’s really surprising how good MORAX sounds being a one-man band – everything feels organic, natural, and very well produced & mixed. The strong point of MORAX is the fantastic retro metal songwriting and these special evil riffs – Priest, Anvil, Mercyful Fate, Metal Church – you know the ’80s…
