[EXCLUSIVE – GOOD]
The brand new studio album from Rattlesnake Kiss, entitled ‘Goodbye God’, is out now! The follow up to the 2010 ‘Demons In The Dust’ album was produced by Ralph Cardall at The Battery Studios in Warwickshire and contains 11 brand new songs.
The album’s theme is based around the actual town of Bodie. Located in the remote hills near the Nevada border, the once gold mining boom-town was famous for wickedness, wild living and being “a sea of sin”. Now, a hundred plus years later, Bodie stands as an empty desolate ghost-town, deserted and in a state of “arrested decay”. The title comes from the true story of one little girl whose family were taking her to the remote and infamous town – she famously wrote in her diary: “Goodbye God, I’m going to Bodie” – a phrase that came to be known throughout The West!
The band’s sound is a mix of rock, heavy bar room blues, alternative country and epic sound-scapes – a sound that, whilst it is influenced by Americana (not only in sound but also in theme), it never truly loses sight of where it comes from… it’s roots are firmly and proudly classic British hard rock.
Rattlesnake Kiss is fronted by Paul Minihane, also known as presenter of ‘Blood, Sweat & Gears’ the World’s biggest off-road motorcycling TV show.
The band had previously marked its 20th anniversary by releasing the studio album ‘Demons In The Dust’.
