Black on Blond hailed from Southern California formed by singer/guitarist Cliff Calabro, bassist Long Ly and drummer Brett Chassen in a meeting in a local music store. With the addition of Christy Lawerence the quartet started working on songs released in their debut album “Wild Anticipation” in 1995 via Splash International.
The band gain critical claim in many European countries as well as a featured spot on the USA Network’s Up All Night television show. There’re elements of Kidd Wikkid and White Eagle. I guess with a better approach in their songwriting would be another prime example of long lost gem.
