“Glam’s Not Dead!”is the album title chosen by Dazzle Star, lead singer and songwriter for Stars From Mars. The original dazzle line-up was formed in 1988 with a fellow musician, Gizmo. During this time, the band experienced many lineup changes: Dazzle was a constant member and driving force of the band. Even Ariel Stiles, perhaps best known in his time at Pretty Boy Floyd, was once an SFM guitarist.
After 28 years, Stars From Mars are doing what Glam fans thought would never happen – they’re releasing their first album!
At the last minute, Stars From Mars decided they wanted to release an album for their upcoming reunion concert, on Saturday June 1 with Blackboard Jungle at the Viper Room in Hollywood, California. After a strong recommendation, Dazzle (vocalist Stars From Mars) decided to work with FnA Records for the band’s first release. Fans have been delivering bad-sounding bootlegs for decades, but no one ever thought there would be an official release. Jordan stone, a representative of A & R for FnA Records, and a respected fan of glam music and social media, said: “I never thought the day would come when I would see any release from Stars From Mars. It never occurred to me because I agreed with the fact that it would never happen. I still can’t believe this is happening!
