Classic Alien with singer Jim Jidhed in the lead is back with the new album “Into The Future” and after listening to a number of laps on the record, I can state that this is not a funny story.
I got really worried when I heard the first taste of the introductory “You Still Burn” a while ago. Then I began to suspect mischief. From being mostly a happy AOR band, they now seem to have switched to a sadder and heavier sound. Melodic hard rock with quite a bit of touch of metal is a good description I think. Alien is now a trio and in addition to Jim Jidhed, the band consists of Tony Borg and Toby Tarrach.
