STIFFKITTY [Jimi Jamison] – Stiffkitty (2009)

STIFFKITTY is an all-original band based out of Memphis, Tennessee consisting of members Todd Poole (Lead Vocals/Rhythm Guitars), Flexer (Lead Guitar/Background Vocals), John Snyder (Bass Guitar) and Ronnie Knight (Drums).

As requested, here’s STIFFKITTY self-titled debut which was recorded with the help of other Memphis icon: the great Jimi Jamison, who not only contacted the band with industry executives, but also provided backing vocals.
The band’s sound is based on hard driven yet melodic songs with a modern sound & style, at places pretty alternative. ”Stiff Kitty” ranges from hard rockers such as “Push”, “No Body Cares”, ”Stand Alone” and “Out of Control” to more mainstream fare such as “Save Me”, World Breaks Down”, or the very melodic “RedLight”, where you can clearly hear Jimi in the background.

STIFFKITTY got some demos recorded but unable yo self-finance their debut album they were looking for a record label. Jimi Jamison was told about this and contactred the band and offered help.
The band completed their 11 song debut CD at the end of December ’08 which was recorded and mixed at Leeway Music Studio in Memphis, TN. Producing, recording, and mixing for the band was experienced Jason Latshaw (Skillet).
It’s modern / mainstream rock, with melodic arrangements, solid songwriting & performances. The CD is quite expensive nowadays, hard to find.
