Paul McCartney – The Fireman On Letterman [2009, DVD]

Interview on CBS and concert on July 15, 2009. Sir Paul rarely gave interviews on American television, this is already remarkable. CBS took advantage of his presence in New York with concerts and did not miss the chance.

As traditional musical numbers for the talk show Late Show with David Letterman, a small concert was prepared on the balcony (marquee, the canopy of the main entrance) of the Ed Sullivan Theater (as the Broadway concert television studio is now called, where the Beatles first performed in 64th). The first two songs (Get Back and Sing The Changes) were included in the Late Show program, the remaining five were used in the official CBS webcast to announce the recorded program (aired two days later).
In addition to pizza and World Pants (sponsors of the program), the third album Electric Arguments (the song Sing The Changes from there) of McCartney’s techno project The Fireman was advertised. That’s why, apart from the interview and the concert, the CD contains two video clips for the album and a montage of studio experiments with sound (the material is taken from the official 4-CD set of 2009).
