BOMBARD – Switch Off the Bitch 2011

BOMBARD were founded in 1989, broke away but after a few years with no releases. Now the former members Tom Kretzschmer and Ralf Geschke have reactivated the band. And the first release of the force goes by the title “The Bitch Switch Off”.

BOMBARD played during their first anniversary, according to promo sheet or speed metal, today they are in rough Dirty Rock’n’Roll active. Somewhere at an intersection of HIGH ON FIRE, MOTÖRHEAD and Warrior Soul. The music is energetic, testosterone pregnant and sweaty. There are consistently full to the Twelve and prisoners will be disclosed. The song constructs with her occasional light touch points are quite simple and straightforward. The melodies and highlights go quite well in my ear.

With songs like ‘Take A Breath’, ‘Hate’, ‘Too Drunk For Rock’n’Roll’, ‘Hell’s On Fire’, ‘Take Me’ and ‘Riding Down The Highway’ is felt quickly, even in your own four walls the need to stretch your fist in the air, shaking his mane and destroy the contents of one or another beer bottle. Live is likely to exacerbate this effect many times. Innovative certainly looks different, but that is not the intention of BOMBARD. You want to let it rock, above all, and make mood, and they succeed well. “It’s only rock and roll, but I like it” could quote a song title from the STONES. However, it is extremely dynamic and powerful rock’n’roll.

Although the influences of Motorhead – including the corresponding trimmed song – ubiquitous, is “The Bitch Switch Off” is a good album. Too Drunk For Rock’n’Roll BOMBARD are not really. Instead, they have mastered their craft, and they also have a knack for songwriting that power-music with which they bombard us on their debut release
