“First Strikes 1978-1979” is a 19-track CD of pure early DEF LEPPPARD magic, an unauthorized release but the sound quality is outstanding. The compilation features the very first DEF LEPPPARD recordings – released and unreleased.
“First Strikes 1978-1979″ includes the official Def Leppard EP 7” 1979, the professional demo ”First Strike” released by previous Def Leppard management trying to cash in on the success of Pyromania and not approved by the band, standalone singles ‘Wasted’ (1979), ‘Hello America’ (1979) and B-side ‘Good Morning Freedom (March 1980), and a stupendous, unreleased live session at Live Paris Theatre, London, August 1979.

Our second album ‘Approaching From An Oblique Angle’ was not mastered at the time of release, and we have for many years wanted to conduct a re-release with this put right.
A couple of years back we put out an in house mastered version, which was better, but we thought it could be better again. With this in mind we have worked with the incredibly talented David Prosperi from Havoc studios in Buenos Aires, Argentina to produce ‘Approaching From An Oblique Angle (The Havoc Master)’. Like ‘The Pictures Within’, this is more a short form song based album than our more recent works, and yet there are clear indications of the direction in which the band would be taken

As requested, here’s a release not all classic metal / hard rock fans are aware of: NWOBHM All Stars. ”NWOBHM All Stars” is a one-off release from Grand Slamm Records Inc. in 1991, however the album first was released in Japan-only by Polydor, this one featured here, in 1990, with a slightly different cover art.
This was the brainchild of talented British producer / songwriter Lea Hart (Fastway, Ya Ya), helped by renowned producer Chris O’Shaughnessy (Tommy Shaw, Kooga).
