PRAYING MANTIS – Predator In Disguise [Japan Edition], MP+FLAC

PRAYING MANTIS is one of the godfathers of the NWOBHM movement. Their “Time Tells No Lies” 1981 full-length debut is still considered as one of the most representative pieces of the genre / its more melodic side.

PRAYING MANTIS reformed 1990 for the 10th anniversary of NWOBHM tour in Japan and talented guitarist Denis Stratton joined the band. Meanwhile, they recorded this first reunion studio project: the amazing “Predator In Disguise”.
Released 1991 originally only in Japan, “Predator In Disguise” is a killer CD. Fully embracing the melodic hard rock sound from the early Nineties, polish

RIGGS – Unreleased Sessions 1980-82

A few weeks ago we featured for the first time on CD the one and only album by RIGGS, their self-titled 1982 record, a very good slice of early Eighties American melodic rock.

Fronted by vocalist / guitarist Jerry Riggs (later Pat Travers Band co-lead guitarist / songwriter for many years) RIGGS recorded 2 songs for the iconic 1981 animated feature film Heavy Metal, also included on the movie’s soundtrack release. That lead for the band to secure a record deal with their album released next year.
But previously RIGGS was being co

“A Quest for Life” is more than just a collection of killer riffs and powerful vocals. The album delves into the human
