Kerry Livgren ‎– The Best Of Kerry Livgren (2002)

Kerry Livgren is best known as one of the founding members of Kansas. He left Kansas in 1983 but has remained close to the band and continued to appear occasionally with Kansas on various tours since the 1990s. In 2000, the original and current members of Kansas reunited at Livgren’s studio to record a new album written entirely by Livgren, titled Somewhere to Elsewhere. Since 2003 Kerry Livgren has worked in the band Proto-Kaw, which in fact is an early incarnation of Kansas reunited. He also has reissued a great part of his album releases partly re-reorded.
The title of this compilation is in fact not quite fair, as the album is compiled of re-recordings, remasters and 2 previously unreleased songs.

In the late 1980’s John Eddie opened for Bob Seger and The Kinks but was dropped by the label early in the 1990’s after the album failed to chart in 1989. He then signed with Elektra Records where he recorded a third album, Still in the Same Cage, which, after a lengthy legal dispute, was never released. Since then Eddie has recorded independently and toured extensively; his career saw a resurgence when independent radio promotion person and long-time fan Michele Clark became his manager in 2000.

The Original Soundtrack is the third studio album by the English art rock band 10cc. It was released in 1975 and peaked at number four on the UK Albums Chart. The Original Soundtrack includes the singles “Life Is a Minestrone”, and “I’m Not in Love”, the band’s most popular song. The Original Soundtrack was a critical and commercial success reaching No. 3 in the UK and No.15 in the U.S.
Ken Barnes gave the album a rave review in Rolling Stone, commenting, “Musically there’s more going on than in ten Yes albums, yet it’s generally as accessible as a straight pop band”.
Village Voice critic Robert Christgau panned the album, remarking of the song “I’m Not in Love”: “stretching your only decent melody (a nonsa
