The 1980 founded combo around front man David ‘Rock’ Feinstein always stood a little in the shadow of Feinstein’s cousin Ronnie James Dio despite good releases. Their melodic metal with clear borrowings from the seventies was part of the NWOBHM’s haze at the beginning of the 1980s and the band played gigs with Iron Maiden or Motörhead. The music on »Tundra« follows the musical direction TUNGSTEN had on »We Will Rise« but with more of everything. The listener will recognize the characteristics of TUNGSTEN but the sound is darker and from time to time more epic than before. The blend-in of catchy metal is still there.
