Back in 1982, Rox released a three song EP called Hot Love In The City. The band was comprised of Kevin Kozak (vocals), Red Hot Red (guitars), Paul Diamond (guitars), Gary Maunsell (bass) and Bernie Emerald (drums). The three songs on the Hot Love In The City EP were “Hot Love In The City,” “Do Ya Feel Like Lovin’” and “Love Ya Like A Diamond.”

Legendary progressive metal act Fates Warning celebrated the 30th anniversary of their third album, “Awaken the Guardian,” in 2016. The album was to become their final release to feature vocalist John Arch. That era’s lineup was rounded out by bassist Joe DiBiase, drummer Steve Zimmerman, along with current guitarist Frank Aresti and, of course, Jim Matheos. The title and cover photo come from my Rutgers University senior yearbook photo. My young nieces and nephews found it at my mom’s house and starting texting me how funny it was and when I saw it again after so many years, I agreed! I majored in communication, so it was just a matter of adding the “Breakdown” to it which is obviously, something you never want to happen in comedy.
