Black Oak County are a band out of Esbjerg, Denmark. They are a quartet of young guys who have been playing previously under the name Great White Buffalo, but chose the name change after some “legal issues.” Listing influences such as Slash and Zakk Wylde, they go after a modern rock sound in the vein of (hard rock) Nickelback, the UK’s Stone Broken, or fellow countrymen Volbeat.
In my opinion, they do it better and with more enthusiasm and creativity than any of those aforemen

Yes, four years is Talesien’s quiet time of record, and yes, it’s too long.Therefore we return with the fourth disc as it can not be otherwise, TO THE GREAT; With the most worked album, complete, complex, technical, elaborate and in short: the best. Called Talesien, as the group, we have chosen this title as a reaffirmation of the band and as a new resurgence, a new beginning with strength and renewed desire.

The remastering job is impressive, especially considering that this album was released back in 1971. Music-wise, the combination of rock instruments and orchestra is much better balanced than on Deep Purple’s CONCERTO FOR GROUP AND ORCHESTRA.
