Every now and then a new band comes along and immediately takes the hearts of the melodic metal world by storm. Altaria was one of those bands with their 2003 debut album Invitation. New LP Wisdom soon here.

Fatal Vision with their first album, but the band was formed when Hard Rock ruled MTV and every arena. Ottawa native Simon Marwood and fellow founding members Chris Hirsekorn and Howie Manderson combined their love of bands like Asia, Journey, Europe, Survivor and Van Halen to bring a refreshing sound to melodic rock. But life can bring unexpected changes and Fatal Vision didn’t get their chance. Fast forward to 2019, and Marwood got the chance to record at a local studio. He dusted his numerous notebooks

On Friday the 7th of October, the melodic rock band Pearls & Flames will release their debut album “Reliance” via the company Pride & Joy Music. How to read a press release:

Pearls & Flames consists of a couple of friends from Sundsvall and Söderhamn who have been active in the Melodic Rock scene since decades. Markus Nordenberg is the main-man and driving force behind this AOR and Westcoast project. He has been the lead singer in an early version of Swedish hard rock masters Lion´s Share and continued as the lead singer and one of the songwriters in Big Price before moving on as one of the members of Coastland Ride that have released three much appreciated albums in the vein of AOR and Westcoast.

Quiet Riot‘s classic line-up of lead vocalist Kevin DuBrow, guitarist Carlos Cavazo, bassist Rudy Sarzo and drummer Frankie Banali got back together to release the album Alive And Well back in 1999 and that record is now getting re-released as a deluxe double album on June 17, 2022.
