He cites as his main musical influence, father Sonny Tipton, mentioning others as an afterthought. These secondary inspirations include Jimmie Page, Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Jimi Hendrix, Mark Farner, Paul Rogers, and Jeff Beck.
