After New York’s SINFUL had come to an end guitarist Jimmy Ambrose and bassist Nars Lopez began to put together a new project with new line-up and a slight change in musical direction.

The pair would begin with taking some songs Ambrose had written and go right into the studio to record some demos. Friends from other bands would fill in on these recordings. Also joining them would be ex-SINFUL keyboardist Bill Myer.

DC STRUT was formed in 1989 in Syracuse, New York by guitarist ROY COSTON and vocalist Mary B.after the disbanding of their prior band ARDENT in 1987. The pair would recruit the rhythm section of bassist Rikk Masters and drummer Kevin Meacham.

DC STRUT would continue in the same female-fronted melodic hard rock direction, this time with perhaps even more intensity, with catch solid metallic riffing by Coston that would nicely compliment the powerful and gritty vocals of Mary B.

Rage N’ Rox was a 1980’s rock band from Portland, Oregon that toured around the Northwest for many years and then recorded their first EP in the late 80’s. They played frequently at the world famous “Wave” nightclub in Waikiki, Hawaii and were featured on television shows and newspaper articles.

The songs “Drive it in” and “How Can You Do it” were welcomed onto the radio in many cities and overseas.

The US formation Blue Tears released their debut album of the same name in 1990 via MCA Records, which for many melodic rock fans ranks alongside the best albums by Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Winger, Danger Danger and Firehouse. From series HR/HM 1000 Vol. 4 cool band BLUE TEARS , this cd made a remaster unlike some other discs of this series.

As with many other releases, MCA Records failed to properly promote the album, so it never got beyond insider status, which is a blatant injustice.
