Falkönner – Enter the Falkon 2019 EP

t’s not the 21st century, it’s 1985. It’s not the internet, it’s the Sunset Strip. Off-the-shelf hair bands modeling corporate biker fashion are still just a twinkle in Bret Michaels’ eye.

Falkönner is everything you love about that razor’s edge in musical history (1983-1987) when seriously shreddy guitar riffs collided with catchy hooks and lush vocal harmonies to land heavy metal on the pop radio dial.

No tribute band, Falkönner is THEE all-original, radio metal song machine. The best hair metal band you’ve never heard of. A time capsule of fist-pumping f$%k-yeah heavy rock from the golden age.

WILD AMERICA – Gasoline 2018

The Kivel label has a knack for discovering fun, good old-school melodic hard rock bands, and WILD AMERICA definitely fits the bill. “Gasoline” is that kind of albums you’ll love at first listen. This is classiy US Arena Rock with that ’89/’91 unrepeatable clean pristine sound, yet powerful, rocking and fun at the same time.

1. Long Road
2. Rockstar
3. Is Anybody Listening
4. Gasoline
5. Something Inside
6. Feet to the Fire

Backyard Babies – Sliver and Gold (Limited Edition) (2019)

It’s been 30 years since Swedish rockers BACKYARD BABIES emerged to popularise “Sleaze Rock” in Scandinavia, and after seven studio albums the band are celebrating with their latest full-length effort Sliver & Gold. Sitting somewhere between hard-rock, glam, and ever so briefly pop-punk, Sliver & Gold is a foray into very familiar territory that although does feel dated, also attempts to get an aural party in full swing.
