Backseat Romeo – Backseat Romeo (1993)

backseat 1993 frontThis Syracuse, New York-based quartet came along just before the grunge apocalypse and put out a pretty rockin’ little album (which is pretty tough to find on CD). The production (on indy label Ice Productions) is a little rough around the edges, but the musicianship is tight and frontman DR Rydher (who still sings 80s metal in Syracuse for covers band 3 Inch Fury) has the necessary swagger and vocal stylings.

Sound-wise, they remind me of early Bon Jovi, perhaps with a hint of the poppiness of the hair-metal mainstays of the time (Firehouse, Trixter, Warrant etc). Backs

Bronx Zoo – Lustfull Thinking (1989)

FrontJust as rare as anything, this little gem is a nice little surprise. Very good stuff here. Another one of those pieces that could be classified as glam, but at times treds on AOR grounds! The production is not up to par but the music was pretty damn good! Comparisons to Moriah, Firehouse, or even Jillson (stylewise sometimes) wouldn’t be out of line at all.

3D In Your Face – Lost In The Volume (2016)

1463675344_coverThe follow up to the 2013 “Midnight Devils” album, two years later “Lost in the Volume” is a unique mixture of glam rock, old school punk, and heavy metal that only these Nebraska boys can deliver. This album is a dedication to their collective love of old school FM rock n roll radio. The same radio stations that are in every small town across America. Combining the hooks of Cheap Trick with the blistering guitar work of Van Halen, 3D In Your Face delivers a straight ahead Rock N Roll record to the last song.

“Lost in the Volume” is honest, emotional, and most of all inspired

Erotic Suicide – Abusement Park (2015) Remastered

Front“EROTIC SUICIDE was a hard hitting Rock band from Oklahoma City. Refusing the traditional move to Los Angeles to join their peers on the Sunset Strip, this band focused on the Mid-West, and built up a loyal fanbase. Their first album entitled “Abusement Park” was released in 1993 and it established the band as a driving force in energetic rock music. The band received critical acclaim both in the states and throughout Europe for their debut release. They went fromfrontpage on a variety of underground Rock fanzines, to being featured in numerous national and international magazines, and to being called “America’s brightest
