February 14, 1996, a melodic force born in the heart of Bronx, New York. His earliest encounters with music unfolded within the folds of musical theatre.

At the age of 10, the church choir at Blessed Sacrament, coupled with the musical theatre group CAC, became his sonic playground. Inspired by the harmonies resonating in his local church, J Slate took his first steps into the realm of song, fueled by the influence of his mother’s early participation.
