FOGHAT continue rocking with a new album released few days ago, and we received a request for their sixth studio album, 1976’s “Night Shift“, a killer rocking album, for us, one of the highlights of their career mixing the band’s characteristic bluesy side with hard rock.

A few days ago Universal Music Japan started a new reissue campaign of DEF LEPPARD albums pressed on SHM-CD, a Limited Edition release on miniLP reproducing the album first edition LP in miniature and the original Japanese OBI. These differ from the previous (now sold out) SHM-CD reissues, as features a new remastering.

In the case of “X”, this remaster has been handled by the band’s long serving sound engineer Ronan McHugh and Joe Elliott at Joe’s Garage with assistance from Andy Pearce. This Japanese release is the only available on standalone CD-disc – in Europe this remaster is only available on vinyl LP.

As requested, here’s TYGERS OF PAN TANG awesome 1980’s debut album ”Wild Cat” in its remastered / SHM-CD pressing , a mini-LP replica of the original Eighties Japanese release. An early biker-metal classic exuding all the boisterous charm one would expect from a bunch of young kids excitedly helping build a scene.

“Wild Cat” is a NWOBHM gem, full of riff-driven killer songs, swirling melodious solos, and raw lead vocals in a ‘metal singer’ fashion by Jess Cox – his only album with the band.
