Founded 1979, 220 VOLT was among the top hard rock acts in Scandinavia during the 80s and released their first, self-titled LP on CBS in June 1983. The band’s reputation was built on strong album releases and energetic live shows. Besides performing their own headline shows, the Swedes have also toured as support for AC/DC and Nazareth among others.
Recently Music On CD have been doing a much needed reissue of these great Eighties 220 VOLT albums, one of them being 1987’s “Young And Wild“. While this release has been originally conceived as a compilation of tracks from their first 3 albums, in fact works as completely new one album.

Yesterday we featured at plotn08 the remastered reissue of MEAT LOAF 1984’s album “Bad Attitude”. The album concentrates more on the hard rock side of Meat Loaf according to the era, enlisting Bob Kulick on electric guitar to provide more bite, especially on the solos.
The North American release of “Bad Attitude” had to wait until the next year, because as happened with many foreign artists / bands, Record Labels wanted ‘different sonics’ for the U.S. market. Accordingly, “Bad Attitude” was remixed.
Released in April 1985 by RCA Records “Bad Attitude [1985 U.S. Mix]” features different track list order as well as alternate mixes for some songs, most of them also with longer running time. T

Yesterday we featured Swedish metal / hard rock pioneers 220 VOLT second album, now we are featuring in exclusive at plotn08 the band’s third album 1985’s “Mind Over Muscle“, reissued & remastered by Music On CD Records, officially released on CD for the first time.
Music On CD are specialized in reissues of long time out of print rock albums, but they don’t remaster anything. In this case, the ‘remastering’ is in fact a ‘mastering’, because this album never was released on CD before.
It may be called a complete mystery why “Mind Over Muscle”, the successor to Powergames, received so little attention in 1985. This can certainly be called one of the top albu
