Never released on CD! If you don’t know Twenty Twenty, you’ll want to read this in it’s entirety because this band just might be the biggest hidden gem of the 80’s rock era. Why? Because Twenty Twenty was a surprisingly flashy band, loaded with sure-fire commercial-based sound and a blend of art-rock anthems similar to that of STYX or KANSAS with a dose of straight ahead rock similar to THE CARS, WHITEHEART or even GIANT.
The band mixed an interesting blend of pomp AOR with cool new wave melodies, all wrapped by a very Eighties arsenal of keyboards, synthesizers, synclavier and electronic drums. This Synth-AOR stadium rock band from the 80’s would have been incredible to see opening up for Steve Taylor or Daniel
MIDNITE CITY‘s stupendous second album “There Goes The Neighbourhood” in its Japanese edition included an exclusive bonus track, but this Asian CD was pretty hard to find because the band had chosen small record label AnderStein Music for the release. AnderStein Music – in fact a Japan-based music shop – now disappeared, with “There Goes The Neighbourhood [Japan Edition +1]” becoming a collector’s piece.

JIM PETERIK hasn’t been quiet during this lockdown: he wrote & recorded two new songs, “Comeback Story / The Best In Us” performed in a duet with powerhouse vocalist Cathy Richardson (Starship).
But Jimbo also did a streaming live show presenting bot new cuts plus some amazing acoustic / electric versions of some of his best songs.
There’s a great take of timeless classics such as ‘Eye Of The Tiger’, ‘Burning Heart’, ‘Caught Up In You’ (the song he wrote for 38 Special) but also surprising arrangements on ‘Heavy Metal’ (co-penned with Sammy Hagar for the movie of the same title), his classic ‘Vehicle’ into an amazing blues version where Cathy Richardson shine on vocals, and the rare, very early Ides Of March’s
