Album-oriented rock (abbreviated AOR) is an American FM radio format focusing on album tracks by rock artists. AOR evolved from progressive rock radio in the mid-1970s, using research and formal programming to create an album rock format with greater commercial appeal.
Mike Tramp is here with the sequel to last year’s Stray From the Flock which I liked sharply. Therefore, I naturally had high expectations from Second Time Around. Unfortunately, my first spontaneous reaction was that the songs have pretty poor power. They are at very low intensity throughout. Despite that, I feel drawn to the songs slightly. It feels like an odd balance between disappointment and well-being.
