Album-oriented rock (abbreviated AOR) is an American FM radio format focusing on album tracks by rock artists. AOR evolved from progressive rock radio in the mid-1970s, using research and formal programming to create an album rock format with greater commercial appeal.

Throughout the 1970s, Ierace was credited by various names on Jaggerz and Wild Cherry albums: by his birth name, Dominic Ierace; Don Ierace; and a stage name he had adopted to make it easier for people to remember his name, Don Iris. By the end of the decade, as far as his music/public life went, he went by the name of Donnie Iris.
It was during this period that he became acquainted with Mark Avsec, then playing keyboards for Wild Cherry. Wild Cherry was unable to duplicate the success of “Play That Funky Music” and disbanded by the end of the decade. Becoming good friends, Donnie and Mark decided to form a project together after Wild Cherry’s breakup and the two began writing songs. Westcoast AOR Ole Børud is ready with a new single, a new album and touring with his band in Scandinavia this fall. Ole has a long experience in the Norwegian music scene, and became very well known to the entire Norwegian people after showing his enormous versatility and took 3rd place in the Stjernekamp 2018 at NRK.
Musically, Ole has always had a love for well-produced soul and melodic and catchy pop often referred to as West Coast sound. Ole’s sound is compared to Toto and Chicago but he makes a clear nod to Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder as well. Then look forward to a display of sound, melodies and musicality.

Tobruk was an English rock band, Its second incarnation formed in 1981 when vocalist Stuart “Snake” Neale (26 April 1963 – 20 December 2006), guitarist Nigel Evans, and keyboard player Jem (Gem) Davis from the Bedford-based band, Stranger, joined forces with guitarists Mick Newman, bassist Steve Woodward and drummer Alan Vallance. Prior to this, the band had already had one single (1981 – Girl With The Flyaway Hair / Screaming In The Darkness) released in Ireland. Original members were Newman, Woodward, Vallance (previously Chris Thomas on drums), Nick Petty on guitar and Terry on vocals. Although the band came to the fore during the tail-end of the new wave of British heavy metal movement, their sound was more melodic and polished.
