Billy Squier – 16 Strokes: The Best Of Billy Squier 1995

Capitol Records released this ‘Best of’ Billy Squier 16 Strokes, CD back in 1995. The disc spans most of his career up to that point. Although his fans have nothing but praise for his solo debut (Squier was the singer of a 1970s band Piper), 16 Strokes does not include any songs from that album, Tale of the Tape (1980). Instead 16 Strokes starts right up with The Stroke, perhaps his most famous song. The track is from his Top Ten album from 1981 Don’t Say No.

02. In The Dark
03. My Kinda Love

Rick Bowles – Free For The Evening 1982

And this album became well-known as one of Robert Byrne and Brandon Barnes related works among AOR / Westcoast freaks.
It has been believed that “Free For The Evening” is the only one album Rick Bowles released because he lost his deal with Polydor before releasing his next album. Rick had not succeeded so much as a solo singer but does well as a songwriter. His materials are recorded by many big names in Pop Country field such as Alabama and/or Terry Clark through 1990′
