A blonde bombshell in her own right but owner of a really good set of vocal pipes, in the mid-Eighies singer MARILYN MARTIN was ready to be the next American rock&pop star.
After doing backing vocals for many big names including Stevie Nicks, Don Henley, Tom Petty and Kenny Loggins, Marilyn got the chance to record the song ‘Sorcerer’ for the ’84 Streets Of Fire movie soundtrack. With the SUE SAAD AND THE NEXT reissue album requested here, you’ll enjoy their second, unreleased album that never was. After their debut LP in 1980, the band’s record label decided to extend the contract / deal but use their songwriting talents for movie soundtracks. Drummer and namesake Ray Brinker unearthed the original reel to reel masters, which were sent to Nashville to be baked and digitized, then sent to JK Northrup for him to work his remastering magic. Even better – the original tapes contained not only the full 12 track original album, but an additional 6 bonus tracks, which are included in this Deluxe Edition CD
