PRICE-SULTON – Lights On (1986)

frontA project put together by ex-UTOPIA bassist / CHEAP TRICK keyboard player Kasim Sulton and the SCANDAL and BILLY IDOL drummer credited Thommy Price. The ‘Lights On’ album also featured the talents of guitarists, Elliot Easton (THE CARS) and Phil Grande, keyboard players Danny Louis and Tommy Mandel and a guest appearance from JOAN JETT. BILLY IDOL guitarist Steve Stevens helped out in some capacity as well.

Kasim Sulton, who also had a short spell in BLUE OYSTER CULT, was rumoured to have been in contention for the vacant bassist’s position in BON JOVI, the job going to longtime associate Hugh MacDonald in the finish. Price also had a short stint with BLUE OYSTER CULT before finding regular employ with JOAN JETT’s band. In February of 2005, both Sultan and Price aided in t

Tommy Morrison Band – Cry To The Sky (Vinyl rip) 1985

British singer/songwriter TOMMY MORRISON started his career in the seventies as part of several bands, and then in 1979 was signed to Real Records recording a solo album co-produced by Paul Rogers (Bad Company, Free). Years after he formed the TOMMY MORRISON BAND and the small label Otis Records was interested in the material of the group. Ed Stasium – known for his work with The Ramones and later Living Colour, arrived from New York to produce the debut album from the band; “Cry To The Sky”.

Alberto Simonini – Moon Twice – 1990 [reissue 2006]

ALBERTO SIMONINI is an Italian multi-instrumentalist, mainly guitar player, who has published an interesting hard rock album with the band Midway back in 1988.

“Moon-Twice” is his own child, practically played and recorded entirely by himself between 1989-90 but shelved until 2006.
Actually, it was pressed independently as promo in 1990 including nine tracks, and even it was played live including another good Italian guitarist in the line-up; Max Magagni.

Nuclear Valdez-In a Minute All Could Change 2001

Nuclear Valdez should be huge. Their first two albums, 1989’s “I Am I” and 1991’s “Dream Another Dream”, with their beautiful, stirring lyrics and unforgettable melodies, endeared them to a devoted following but never brought them the commercial success of which they’re so deserving. So be it. We love them anyway.
