It all started back in 2002 when Kurt Vereecke decided to make his dream come true by recording an AOR and melodic rock album. During the recordings more and more musicians got involved in the Frozen Rain project, including some of Kurt’s personal idols such as Tommy Denander (Radioactive), Steve Newman (Newman) and Daniel Flores (Mind’s Eye).

Founded by keyboardist Kurt Vereecke the band self-titled debut album was released in 2008 and featured Kurt’s idols and key players in the melodic scene such as Tommy Denander, Steve Newman, and Daniel Flores. In 2012, the band released its second album, “Ahead Of Time” including an even more international lineup, including the strong vocals of talented Carsten Schulz.

Originally released during the golden age of US Melodic Rock / AOR in 1984, the self-titled debut LP from curiously named Oakland based band BILLY SATELLITE may not have set the charts on fire – despite of having two moderate singles with both music videos aired on MTV – but did manage to register high on the AOR Richter scale.
