One of the most representative albums from the classy female fronted AOR / Melodic Rock golden era has been remastered by Rock Candy Records “No Bed Of Roses“, by IF ONLY, featuring superb vocalist Tina Egan. The reissue includes 5 bonus tracks where also the great Jackie Bodimead appears delivering her tremendous vocal pipes.
Formed in 1988 and driven by guitarist and talented songwriter Greg Hart (ex Moritz, and who later went on to form Cats In Space), the band was fronted by singer Jackie Bodimead who had built up a solid reputation as a member of both Girlschool and Rock Goddess, two of the most successful and well known of the all female British hard rock bands.

One of these is the just appeared remastered reissue of MELVIN JAMES 1987’s album “The Passenger“. With a catchy set of tunes sounding like a mix of Billy Idol, Bryan Adams, Stan Meissner, etc, and a clean polished production, “The Passenger” is absolutely ‘Eighties’.

Born in Sweden in the early Nineties, it wasn’t easy for SNAKES IN PARADISE to reach the masses at the time with their brand of classic blend of AOR / Melodic Rock. It was a though decade for the genre, but these guys fronted by impressive vocalist proudly carried the flag.
After an indie EP SNAKES IN PARADISE recorded their self-titled debut album 1994’s ”Snakes In Paradise” in LA under the guidance of uber talented Brett Walker, who also co-wrote some songs, did some vocals and play additional guitar.
