Now it’s a real pleasure to fulfill this request; “Taking A Cold Look“, the one and only album by the wonder AOR-songwriting boys Billy Steinberg & Tom Kelly under the moniker i-TEN, fully remastered in all its glory by Rock Candy Records.

Let’s put it simple; 1983’s “Taking A Cold Look” it’s an AOR masterpiece.
The Kelly/Steinberg songwriting team were involved into the greatest albums from the genre recorded during the ’80s in one way or another; writing hits for others, arranging or providing terrific backing vocals, but it was not until the 1990’s when they got Top 10 hits charting at B

As requested, here we have former Foreigner vocalist LOU GRAMM‘s 1987 solo album “Ready Or Not“, in its Wounded Bird Records CD reissue which sounds much better in dynamics.

The greatness of “Ready Or Not” should be credited as well to talented Bruce Turgon, who co-wrote most the songs with his exquisite tastes and also play various instruments, even dropped a guitar solo.
Gramm started o work on “Ready Or Not” when Foreigner entered into some kind of a hiatus after the success of ‘Agent Provocateur’. Lou got offer of a solo album, and the result is “Ready Or Not”, a melodic collection of songs with all that ’80s magic.

LOU GRAMM has one of the most unique and remarkably memorable voices, not only as frontman of multi platinum selling US melodic rock gods Foreigner, but also as solo artist as this remastered reissue by Rock Candy Records of his second solo release “Long Hard Look” highlights.

It was the fall of 1989 – one year after Foreigner made solid work on Inside Information, when Lou Gramm made another great solo album following Ready Or Not. This “Long Hard Look”, in my opinion, is the better of the two solo efforts.
The record scored two successful Billboard singles such as “True Blue Love” and “Just Between You And Me”, but all the tracks were potential hits.

In 1989, a promoter located in Milwaukee, WI, reached out to five unconnected regional gunslinger musician/vocalists with the concept of creating an AOR-Rock band with a fresh sound. After meeting each other, JUKEBOX HEROES took the stage “literally” five weeks later to an oversold house at Starz on 100 in Milwaukee with a waiting line out the door.

The tour began, and soon JUKEBOX HEROES was in demand throughout the Midwestern US. The schedule had the group sharing the stage with the likes of 38 Special, Starship, Georgia Satellites, Styx, K
