Progressive rock, also known as prog rock or prog, is a rock music subgenre that originated in the United Kingdom, with further developments in Germany, Italy, and France, throughout the mid-to-late 1960s and 1970s. It developed from psychedelic rock and originated, similarly to art rock, as an attempt to give greater artistic weight and credibility to rock music.

Aham is Corrado Rustici’s first studio album in ten years. It is a unique musical project, both for the way it sounds and for the way it was made. Not interested in a “shredder” album, Corrado wanted to do something different and unique sounding. Everything that you hear, from what sounds like drums, bass, strings, woodwinds, to voice (like in the case of the suite “Aham”), was created by Corrado playing exclusively treated electric and acoustic guitars. There are no synths, samplers or electronic instruments. The only exceptions being a couple of vocal tracks and some handclaps.
The song “Alcove of stars” features Andrew Strong (singer and star of the movie “The Commitments”).
