Progressive rock, also known as prog rock or prog, is a rock music subgenre that originated in the United Kingdom, with further developments in Germany, Italy, and France, throughout the mid-to-late 1960s and 1970s. It developed from psychedelic rock and originated, similarly to art rock, as an attempt to give greater artistic weight and credibility to rock music.

Depending on how you look at it this is the 5th concept album or 9th album total from Hibernal. Hibernal is a project of Mark R. Healy from Brisbane, Australia. Healy is a sci-fi author who created Hibernal as a way of creating concept albums of his novels.
The story on this album deals with two astronauts, voiced by Scott Gentle and Faleena Hopkins, who experience a strange reality glitch when trying to travel through hyperspace, with a twist in the plot towards the end of the album.
The 4 first releases by Hibernal was each released in two versions, The concept version and an instrumental version.

Granicus was an American hard rock band formed in 1969 in Cleveland. After performing in clubs in Cleveland, and then playing before label bosses, the band were then later signed by RCA Records on March 15, 1973 and released their eponymous debut album in the same year. The band later opened for such performers as Bob Seger, Cactus and Spirit to promote that first record, which has since been critically acclaimed in some classic rock circles. Soon after, though, the group disbanded, feeling unsupported by their label and being deserted by their manager. Most of the group later reunited, some 25 plus years later, after finding their first record pirated and selling in Europe.
