Progressive rock, also known as prog rock or prog, is a rock music subgenre that originated in the United Kingdom, with further developments in Germany, Italy, and France, throughout the mid-to-late 1960s and 1970s. It developed from psychedelic rock and originated, similarly to art rock, as an attempt to give greater artistic weight and credibility to rock music.

A release from Kansas is most likely always worth checking out. Most of their recordings are enjoyable. Another thing is that it looks like the members of Kansas has a lot more creative way of creating titles than those in charge of creating compilations and live releases of their back catalog and archived recordings. This 2019 Japan compilation is another example that it maybe would be a good idea to let the band suggest a name for the releases instead of a marketing department. The title has been reused for countless releases.

Issue #8 published September 1999 shows how the magazine was soon getting recognized as an influential partner to artists. The cd presented an (at that time) exclusive pre-release of a track from the Yes album The Ladder. Later issues would include first public releases of tracks from a lot of unknown bands.
