The concert in Pompeii took place during a tour in support of the latest to date album of Gilmore Rattle That Lock, well received by critics and listeners. He was performed by David and his team for two nights in a row on the arena of the ancient Roman amphitheater in Pompeii, and this event took place 45 years after the recording of the concert of the same name by Pink Floyd. In total there were 2600 spectators, which added to the incident even more atmospheric. In addition to solo songs, viewers heard Pink Floyd’s classic songs: Comfortably Numb, Time, One Of These Days, Shine On You Crazy Diamond.

Mono have revealed that their new studio album will be released in early 2019. It’s titled Nowhere Now Here, was helmed by Steve Albini and will launch on January 25 via Pelagic Records.

It’s the Japanese outfit’s first record to feature drummer Dahm Majuri Cipolla, who joins the core trio of Goto, Tamaki and Yoda. To mark the announcement, Mono have teamed up with French director Julien Levy for a short film which includes the new track After You Comes The Flood , which sees a pursuit through the streets of Tokyo during which “fear and attraction collide.”..
