Formed in the late 60s, Coven is a legendary US proto-metal band that reflects a variety of influences, combining classic psychedelic tendencies with folk and proggy-doom-goth accents. Jinx Dawson is absolutely gorgeous – sensual and sometimes aggressive, demonically hard rock vocals.

Prashant Aswani learned to play guitar at the age of 13 without taking lessons imitating the sounds he heard on the radio. After playing in bands all through high school, Prashant headed for the world-renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. It was during his time at Berklee that he first met guitarist Greg Howe, who became his producer on both “Revelation” and “Duality”, his first two CDs. Prashant has lent his chops to several albums worldwide, among them: Howe’s two CD’s, “Ascend” and “Hyperacuity”.

Prashant Aswani’s latest album Sonically Speaking features a rich set of melodic instrumental rock fusion songs that not only show his strengths as a guitarist and composer, but as a producer and arranger as well. The album is full of exceptional playing by both Aswani, and the lineup of great musicians he has brought along to support him. Aswani is joined on this release by Rhonda Smith (Jeff Beck, Prince) on bass, and Joey Heredia (Stevie Wonder, Tribal Tech, Steve Lukather) on drums. Abhijit Banerjee also appears on the album playing the Tabla, an Indian percussion instrument. Guitarists Brett Garsed and Rob Caggiano are also onboard turning in some killer guest solos.
