In 2006, Guitar Center “Guitarmaggedon” called Ryan – “Next King Of The Blues” a candidate for New Mexico, and more recently, in 2007, he was nominated for the “Best Blues Act” as a result of a reader vote in The Weekly Alibi’s . Ryan also received a 2007 New Mexico Music Award for Best Musical Production: Blues at home, in addition to being nominated for Best Musical Production: Mainstream / Rock. Currently, at the age of 21, releasing the debut CD “Forward In Reverse”, he performs throughout the southwest United States with the support of his band.

And We Should Die Of That Roar is a one-man musical soirée, instigated and run since 2014 by guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Hardy Hum. Blues musicians of all disciplines have a distinct sound, a certain individual virtuosity that sets their technique apart. Many solo Bluesmen and Blueswomen nest in their individuality even more strongly. John Hammond’s raw emotive hysterics; Chris Thomas King’s channeling of Robert Johnson; Rory Block’s confident utilitarian crafting. Lloyd Spiegel is this type of solo Bluesman, an arpeggiating, percussive, lightning fast runner of the solo acoustic fretboard. He is the type of player who uses the guitar like a keyboard, seamlessly playing thumping bass runs with accompanying intricate chording. All while singing heartfelt well crafted original songs and blues staples. This style can be heard in its most pure uncut form on 2015’s Double Live Set.
