As requested, here’s in exclusive the really good sounding 2024 reissue of OVERKILL 1988’s third album “Under The Influence“, their second on major label Atlantic, which secured the band a major exposure and for many a solidified a place in the thrash metal pantheon alongside the ‘big four’ Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax.
Mixed by ‘the melodic hard rock guru’ of the ’80s Michael Wagener, “Under The Influence” is more commercial, accessible than previous OVERKILL records, still razor sharp and punchy like few. Musically, it’s matter of tastes; we really enjoy many well done thrash metal albums, and “Under The Influence” is one of them.
