Glastonbury Fayre is a musical documentary film directed by Peter Neil, about the Glastonbury Festival, England, which took place from 20 to 24 June 1971. The film was shown in May 1972 and then was forgotten. Only now this film has been restored and digitized by incredible efforts.
There are practically no complaints about the quality of this release, although more than 30 years have passed. There was another DVD release by Akarma, but it was of poor quality and was copied from VHS tape. This time, the colors are true and deep. Nik Turner (born Nicholas Turner, 28 August 1940, in Oxford, Oxfordshire) is a British musician, best known as a founding member of space rock pioneers Hawkwind. Turner plays saxophones, flute, sings and is a composer. While with Hawkwind, Turner was known for his experimental free jazz stylisations and outrageous stage presence, often donning full makeup and Ancient Egypt-inspired costumes.
