This is a mega rare elusive record in the Southern Hard Rock genre – their songs combine Hard Rock, Southern Rock, Funk/Blues Rock with killer harmonies. Unfortunately the vocals are average as the songwriting.

Ice Water Mansion was formed back in 1978 by drummer Charlie Austin. The band’s lineup of members had numerous changes throughout its early years and there is little documentation available to be able to tell who was playing at what times from 1978 to 1983. They have opened for the likes of Godsmack, Saliva, Crossfade, Chevelle and Brett Michaels, deliver an excellent mix of Hard Rock and 90s Rock. There are party anthems, over the top guitar work, and exceptional bass playing – the song “Shiver” has some of the best and most intricate guitar work I have heard in a long time. There are some similarities to fellow Wisconsin bands Full Throttle and Picasso Trigger.
