Cutthroat – It Must Suck To Be You 2013

Following the demise of Milwaukee’s MEGATON BLONDE , drummer Mike Stix (also ex-REALM) would go on to form a heavier band with vocalist Mark Woydelko , Guitarist Jimmy Furlong , and Bassist Scott Meyer called CUTTHROAT. Recorded in the early 90s , this is the first time ever on cd for their debut release. This is straight-up 80s-style U.S. Power Metal drawing influences from bands like Crimson Glory, Mercyful Fate , Black Sabbath , Riot , Malice and Flotsam & Jetsam.

Ironclad – Metal Monster 1993

Following their tenure in the excellent Pennsylvania-based melodic hard rock band “PYRAMID” (and 2 killer releases available here at Retrospect!) , bassist extraordinaire Steve Kessler and guitar virtuoso Victor Chiarella split lead vocal duties and formed IRONCLAD. The quality and signature sound of Pyramid is still there but Ironclad ventures a little more into the Melodic Metal and Power Metal genres. Everything is a few notches louder and heavier. The killer guitar riffs and shredding solo’s are present all over this slamming release as are the powerhouse drums and perhaps the biggest surprises are the aweso

Americade – Rock Hard 1988

Some excellent material on hand here and its great to finally release these gems. The first four tracks were quality demos from 1988 that feature the incredible pipes of vocalist Mark Weitz (also sang with Yngwie, Ramos, Eyes) — these 4 amazing songs are worth the price of admission alone! All other tracks were recorded in 1983 with the classic lineup of Walt Woodward III (drums), Dave Spitz (bass) and the De Marigny brothers and produced by renowned producer JEFF GLIXMAN (Saxon, Yngwie, Black Sabbath, Gary Moore, Kansas++).

Nun The Wyzer – Selective Truth 1994

Everybody seems to be looking for the next big american indie, one that actually lives up to the hype. Well i think its right here looking at you. Everything we look for in a cd – very rare and ultra recommended. Oh, the last track is such a great acoustic based song, reminds me of More than words by Extreme. The production is quite good with some really great hard edge guitar riffs, good chorus and memorable melodies. A very good addition to fans of hard rock.
