UK two CD compilation of early recordings from NWOBHM nearly men Tokyo Blade. Before turning to the Tokyo Blade name, they formed as Killer. In around 1983, Killer changed their name to Genghis Khan because other bands was using the name as well. This compilation of 22 songs documents the complete works of Killer and Genghis Khan. To introduce all of you to the magic AOR/Pomp Rock sound of LAROCHE, here’s a never-seen video for the song “Long Distance Lover”.
The video was edited together by Nixxi Gilbert, LAROCHE keyboards-player, using “old camcorder footage found in the drummer’s attic”. The original video picture quality was quite poor, but Nixxi worked on it, improving a bit and editing it together with the studio version of the song.
That was made just for fun and for anybody to see how LAROCHE looked back in the day… damn, those chicks looked hot!!!
REDEEMER – The Light Is Struck and the Darkness 2020
Originally formed under the name APOCALYPSE, the Australian quintet changed their name to REDEEMER in the 80’s and released one of the greatest and most sought after Australian heavy metal albums of all time in 1990.
Their one and only album (originally released on vinyl only) contains high class power metal music, with speed passages, razor sharp riffs, solid rhythm section and the majestic voice of Cindy Grimwood which is one of the great female singers in the style of CHASTAIN and MALTEZE.
