Started singing in 1972. Joined Village. Stayed with band until 1977. Played on London pub circuit and around England. Supported Stranglers at 100 Club in 1976. Moved to Hastings in 1977 to join Steppin Out. Band split, but stayed in town. Sung with Ray Fenwick in various bands (Jim and the Jims, Harry R and Jump Jets) Sang on 3 singles with him.
Joined Swiss/English rock band Sergent in 1983. Moved there in 1984 and stayed until 1986. Made 3 albums: Sergent / Streetwise / Living in the Fast Lane. Sang on Ray Fenwick produced version of “Smoke on the Water” in 1986. Then made album with Ray and Cozy Powell/Nick Murray/Mo Foster/Chris Cozens. The band called themselves Forcefield. The album was released in Japan and then world. A second album was being recorded when Pete became ill (post viral syndrome). He was replaced by Tony Martin (Black Sabbath). But co wrote 2 songs “Good is Good” and which became the single “Heartache”. He then wrote 2 songs on the next Forcefield album that had ex Rainbow vocalist Graham Bonnit “Hit and Run” and “Hold On”. Pete then recorded an album with Paul Sinden called “Turn It Up” in 1993. It was promoted as his first solo album. The album is a mix of hard rock and AOR but most songs have their taste and that album need to be listened several times so you can like it because it gets hard and that it has particularly good style. Highlights here are “Living in a Nightmare”, “Surrender to the Night”, “Take it Away” and “Can not Stop Now”.
