Not since Toys of Joys’ “One of These Days” CD has a voice sounded so close to that of Don Henley’s. If you listen to “Prodigal Girl” with eyes closed & disbelief suspended, you will swear you’re hearing something off “Building the Perfect Beast”. But there’s more than shameless imitation on this rare Canadian AOR indie: “Matter of Time” is tight, well-written AOR similar to Kevin Chalfant’s “Running With the Wind” solo CD. Other winners: the Eddie Schwartz-ish “Confusion” and the title track.
