The biography describes this silver disc as a stunning concept CD, but as far as I’m concerned you may easily delete the word ‘stunning’.
Although a wealth of well-known musicians showed up on this Italian guy’s debut album “Freak Out!” (IMR, 2003), it was nothing more than a mediocre affair and the same can be said of this here follow-up, which is called “Discovery” and again features a long list of famous and less famous guest musicians, among whom Janne Stark, Bobby Kimball, Mathias Eklund, Carmine Appice, Tony Franklin, Earl Slick, Tommy Denander, Timothy Drury, etc. etc. I know … with such an impressive list I should be overwhelmed, but that just isn’t the case, again because the song material lacks in quality. How good all guests are performing (no doubt about that), they fail to lift the whole to a higher level.
