Burning Shadows – Truth in Legend (2017)

Formed in 2000, US power metal band BURNING SHADOWS brings to life haunting tales of the classic writers such as HP Lovecraft and Fritz Lieber, as well as other stories ranging from mythology to fantasy to history. Heavily influenced by the stalwart vanguards of the genre such as ICED EARTH, BLIND GUARDIAN, and PRIMAL FEAR, the band’s passion burns with an intensity that is increasingly hard to find in the scene today.

Echotime – Side (2017)

The band try to create a personal sound, different from metal and progressive clichè contaminated with jazz, pop, rock, latin and funk music, influenced by soundtracks from action and adventures movies with a unique attention to arrangements and sounds. ‘Side’ is a concept album, a journey through the life of the major character called Lily. Corruption, violence, war are the main problems of this allegorical world where all the narrated lives are bended together by music which create different atmosphere story by story.

Scorpions – In Trance (Japanese Edition) 1975

In Trance is the third studio album by German rock band Scorpions, released by RCA Records in 1975. The album’s music was a complete departure from the progressive krautrock of the two previous albums in favor of a hard rock sound of shorter and tighter arrangements with which the band would achieve their later global success and fame; extended suites in the vein of songs such as “Lonesome Crow” and “Fly to the Rainbow” are absent altogether. It is the first album by the band to contain the now-famous logo and controversial artwork.

Pond – The Weather (2017)

Australian psych rockers Pond share members with Tame Impala, as well as a penchant for arena-sized 1970s rock. Their new album mixes bright synths, campy detours, and grim lyrics.

The two bands share a penchant for grand, arena-sized music that carries the torch for 1970s classic rock. But where Parker is sedate onstage, Pond combine feral enthusiasm with goofy recklessness, their baroque suites draped in punkish basement-show charm. (Think Queen dressed up as the Replacements or vice-versa.) Pond also keeps threatening to release a record that rivals rock’s all-time classics—creatively if not commercia

Vampire Beach Babes ?– Beach Blanket Bedlam 2004

This album rocked me! It has all the elements of The B-52’s, The Cramps and that surf guitar dude….(sorry, forget his name). Droppin’ The Curl should not be listened to while driving – could result in some police interest! Bad Boys, Bad Girls makes me wanna dance HARD and shake my head A LOT!! Mark Duda – Month of Sundays 2017 EP

Month of Sundays showcases a certain departure from the hard, classic rock that Mark Duda’s other bands (The Handful, Mad City Rockers) are known for. Instead, this is a melodic and tuneful blend of storytelling and traditional rock and punk that is full of New York City swagger. The album is as much a tribute to the music and club scenes of ’70s and ’80s Lower Manhattan as it is a representation of some of the very current sounds and energy that can be found in the “Big Apple.
