Wind Rose is a Folk/Power Metal Band born in Italy in 2009. In 2010 the band released an EP under the production of Cristiano Bertocchi (ex-Labyrinth, ex-Vision Divine) earning a lot of good reviews.

In 2012 WindRose released their first full-length ‘Shadows Over Lothadruin’ via Scarlet/Bakerteam Records again earning a lot of excellent results in the international metal scene. (Album details: art production by Cristiano Bertocchi, cover artwork by Felipe Machado Franco (Rhapsody of Fire, Blind Guardian…), mastering by Goran Finnberg.)

I don’t know why this band isn’t more well known. They should be up there with The Pretty Reckless and Halestorm. That’s how good they really are. Sharon (Shari) Ulrich, (born 17 October 1951) is a Canadian musician-songwriter. She has won a Juno Award for “Most Promising Female Vocalist of the Year”, and has acted as a television host.

Born in San Rafael, California, Ulrich moved to British Columbia in the early 1970s. With Rick Scott and Joe Mock, she created the Pied Pumkin String Ensemble, which first performed in 1973.
