Most musicians are bred from a young age and thought the ABCs of music. However Dan was a music illiterate until the age of 16, when he got his first guitar.
In primary school the first instrument Dan was given was a recorder (flute). But instead of playing music with it Dan found more amusement playing light sabers with his friends. Year 7, Dan failed music class and was said that he displayed no interest in the subject. However at the age of 14 Dan was asked to take the percussion instruments back into the store room by his music teacher.
